Flight Nanny Services & Travel

Are there any breed restrictions? There are no breed restrictions for in-cabin travel, as long as the pet meets the airline's minimum age requirements and fits comfortably in an airline-approved pet carrier under the seat.

Do you travel standby? No, Pappy Paws Pet Transport flight nannies do not travel standby to provide a more comfortable option for your pet. While we make every effort to accommodate your preferred travel dates, certain factors—such as weather conditions, oversold flights, or airline changes—may affect the schedule. In order to provide the most cost affective option; we may book flights with layovers, unless the upgraded package is chosen.

Can I book a direct flight? Yes! If you prefer a nonstop flight, you can purchase business class package for your pet and flight nanny. This option secures travel on a specific flight, limiting delays and layovers, eliminating delays. You will be responsible for the airfare, delivery fee, and airline pet fee, and our specialist will handle all logistics for a smooth experience.

Is a health certificate required for my pet to fly? Yes, a valid health certificate issued by a licensed veterinarian is required. This certificate must be issued no more than 30 days before the scheduled travel date.

Can I track my pet’s flight? Yes! You can track your pet’s flight by simply Googling the airline name and flight number. This will provide real-time updates on the flight’s status, terminal, and gate information.

What payment methods do you accept? A 50% deposit is required at the time of booking to secure your pet's transport. An additional 25% payment is due two days before travel to confirm final arrangements. The remaining balance (25%) is due upon delivery when your pet is safely dropped off at their furever home. All transactions incur a 5% processing fee. Deposits are non-refundable under any circumstances. However, you may reschedule for a later delivery date if needed. If transport is scheduled within two weeks of the service date, the full transport fee is due at the time of booking. We accept major credit cards, Zelle, PayPal and cash.

Can I have more than one pet delivered to the same destination? Yes! For an additional fee, we can transport two small littermates in the same carrier, as long as their combined weight is under 20 pounds. If you need two separate carriers, we can accommodate this as well—my partner will accompany me to ensure both pets receive dedicated care throughout their journey.

Is there an additional fee for flying a pet in the cabin? Yes, most airlines charge a small pet fee. If required, this fee must be paid before the completion of the delivery and will be included in your quote.

What if there’s a flight delay that requires the pet nanny to stay overnight? While we always strive for same-day deliveries, unexpected flight delays or cancellations can occur due to weather, airline rescheduling, or other factors beyond our control. If an overnight stay is required due to a delay not caused by the pet nanny, the customer may be responsible for additional charges, including: ​ Hotel accommodations for the flight nanny Any necessary rebooking fees for the pet’s continued travel​ ​ We will communicate any delays with you promptly and work to ensure your pet remains safe and comfortable while we arrange the next available flight.

How big can my pet be? In order to schedule a transport, pet must be able to fit in a soft sided carrier not larger than 18″ x 11″ x 11″ (18 inches wide, 11 inches deep, and 11 inches tall) and weighing no more than 20 lbs. NO Refund will be permitted of any fees if the pet is denied transport due to non-weight disclosure.
