Ground Terms and Conditions Contract

Eligibility for Transport

  • All pets must be at least 8 weeks of age to be transported.

  • The person requesting or arranging transport certifies that the pet is at least 8 weeks old at the time of pick-up.

 

Breed & Health Requirements

No Breed Discrimination – All Dogs Welcome!


We proudly transport all breeds, including Chows, Rottweilers, Akitas, Shepherds, and Pit Bull breeds. Every pet deserves safe, comfortable travel, and we ensure equal care for all dogs, no matter their breed.

No Health Certifications or Specific Vaccinations Required


Unlike air travel, we do not require a health certificate or specific vaccinations for ground and local transport. We believe every pet should have access to safe transportation without unnecessary restrictions.

 

Pet Comfort & Safety

  • Your pet will have access to fresh, clean drinking water throughout their journey.

  • We do not transport pets that require a muzzle or restrictive device during transport.

  • Our handlers reserve the right to refuse transport for any pet that displays aggressive or unsafe behavior.

 

Ground & Local Transport Policies

 

Pick-Up & Delivery

  • We provide estimated pick-up and delivery dates at the time of booking.

  • While we make every effort to adhere to the requested schedule, unforeseen delays may occur due to weather, traffic, road closures, or other uncontrollable circumstances.

  • Any additional costs (such as boarding, alternative transport, or rerouting) due to delays will be the responsibility of the client.

 

Timeliness

  • Clients must be on time for pick-up and drop-off at the agreed location.

  • A 15-minute grace period is allowed. After this, a $150 late fee will be applied and must be paid before the pet is released.

 

Pet Preparation

  • Pets must be clean and free of odors prior to pick-up. If an odor persists, our handler may deny transport, and the full transport fee will still apply.

 

Payment Policy

✔ Deposit & Payment Schedule:

  • 50% deposit is required at the time of booking to secure transport.

  • 25% payment is due two days before travel to finalize arrangements.

  • Remaining 25% balance is due upon pet’s safe arrival at the final destination.

✔ Non-Refundable Deposits & Cancellation Policy

  • All deposits are non-refundable under any circumstances. However, clients may reschedule for a later date if needed.

  • If transport is scheduled within two weeks of the service date, full payment is required at the time of booking.

✔ Processing Fees

  • All transactions incur a 5% processing fee.

 

Non-Refundable Fees for Non-Disclosure

  • If a pet is denied transport due to non-disclosure of weight, size, or behavioral issues, no refund will be issued.

 

Travel Accommodations & Safety

 

Private vs. Group Transport

  • Luxury Lane (Private Transport): Your pet will travel alone for a direct, uninterrupted ride.

  • Comfort Cruise (Group Transport): Your pet will travel with a small, carefully selected group for a structured, efficient journey with scheduled comfort breaks.

 

Pet Carriers & Kennels

  • For Ground Transport: Pets will be transported in a USDA-approved travel kennel for safety.

  • For Local Transport: A pet carrier is optional but recommended for small pets.

 

If No One is Present at Pick-Up or Drop-Off

  • If no authorized person is available to receive the pet, or if required paperwork is incomplete, the transport may proceed without your pet, and you will still be charged the full transport fee.

 

Photo & Media Release

  • All photos taken during transport may be posted on our website and social media for promotional purposes.

 

Act of God Clause

Pappy Paws Pet Transport is not responsible for delays, cancellations, or disruptions caused by:
✔ Severe weather conditions (storms, flooding, extreme temperatures)
✔ Natural disasters (wildfires, earthquakes, hurricanes)
✔ Government restrictions, public health emergencies, or road closures
✔ Any other unforeseen circumstances beyond our control

If transport is disrupted due to these factors, we will make every effort to reschedule at the earliest available opportunity.
 

Any additional costs (such as rebooking fees, boarding, or overnight accommodations) will be the client’s responsibility.

Agreement to Terms By making a payment for transport, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to these Terms & Conditions.
